JUST KALE IT!!!
A QUICK AND EASY KALE AND COLLARD GREENS RECIPE!
Hey Guys, I want to share something with you! It’s quick, it’s tasty, and it’s kid friendly. It’s a Kale & Collard greens recipe! Now; I have tried Kale many times and prepared various ways, but it wasn’t until last Christmas that I tried Kale & Collard greens mixed together and cooked on stove top, in a Wok. Yes a Wok! My Holistic mother-in-law asked what hubby and I would like her to cook the family for Christmas dinner. Hubby and I emphatically requested Cornbread dressing and Collard greens. You know “the good ole fashion take all day to cook, Collard greens”. However, she decided to give us her version; something packed with major nutrients, less timely, and yet still pretty darn good. Kale & Collard greens!!! I thought it, only fair for me to share! So, give it a try and just Kale It!
Prep Time 10 mins. | Cook Time 5 mins. |Total Time 15 mins.
(Due to a large amount in Wok, I split my Kale & Collard greens in Half and repeated the cooking steps, precisely)
1 Bunch of Kale (cleaned and chopped into pieces)
2 Small Bunches of Collard greens (cleaned and chopped into pieces)
¼ cup Olive Oil
2tbls of Garlic Powder
1tbls of Cayenne
Sea Salt & Pepper to taste
Now Lets Cook!
Heat olive oil in a large pot or skillet, (if you have a Wok go for it) over medium high heat
Add Your clean and chopped Kale & Collard greens mix
Add your 2tbls of Garlic Powder, 1tbls of Cayenne, and Sea Salt & Pepper to taste
Toss all Ingredients for about 5-6 minutes (the Kale & Collard greens will begin to wilt, However, do not over cook are you will loose the nutrients)
